The Musical Contexts Year 7 Paper Music Baseline Assessment can be used at the start of Year 7 to obtain instant data to assess pupil's prior knowledge and understanding of music.
The test has 50 QUESTIONS and can therefore be easily converted to a percentage.
The test is the same as the Musical Contexts Year 7 Online Digital Music Baseline Assessment Tests, but presented in a 4-page hard copy paper-based booklet, designed to be copied back-to-back (duplex) to produce a pupil answer booklet for those without computer access.
The test is in two parts. The first section (24 questions), requires the Year 7 Paper Music Baseline Assessment MP3 Audio File (included with this bundle) to be played continuously (or paused between sections/questions although silence and announcements are included). The second section (26 questions) does not require any music or audio extracts and teachers are free to set a suitable time period for completion.
Instructions and Guidelines on how to complete the Baseline Assessment and Answers and Mark Schemes included. Available as both Word and PDF documents.
